And Then There Were Four!
January 31, 2024
When I first started this blog, I had an introductory post in mind entitled A Tale of Three Watches, referring to the Pulsars owned by my Grandfather, my Dad, and myself. I did end up writing a short version of that post, with the idea of creating a longer, more in-depth version down the road. Something happened, however, that changed my plans. Back in October 2023, while visiting my parents, my Mom showed me the watches she had worn over the years. At the time I had a general interest, but didn't take any photos or jot down any information about them.

Fast forward to November and the start of my Pulsar watch journey. As I was researching the history of this brand, I remembered my Mom's watches and asked her if she would take a look to see what brands she had worn. Much to my surprise and delight, she had a Pulsar in the mix. As of a few weeks ago, her Pulsar is now a part of my collection! The Pulsar brand truly is a family legacy!

Updates to the Pulsar Reference List
January 26, 2024
The Pulsar Reference List (I'm contemplating using PRL as its abbreviation) has been updated and a link inserted above. Today's updates deal primarily with the Pulsar series information and associated calibres. Following the series and calibre entries, I have included the description given in the instruction manuals as applicable.
Back in the saddle!
January 22, 2024
After dealing with some family medical issues, I am back and ready to continue updating the Pulsar Time Blog. Today I updated the Pulsar watch reference list. I am planning on continuing to populate this with more information as I gather and compile it. As you can imagine, there are a lot of Pulsar references, and getting this information into a usable format takes time. However, I am very excited about the project as I haven't encountered anything like this covering the Pulsar watches on the Internet. Stay tuned!
The Pulsar Watch List Begins!
January 10, 2024
Today the reference list of Pulsar watches officially kicks off on the Pulsar Time Blog. I haven't settled on an official name for it yet, so you may find me referring to it in several ways until I decide on its final title. It could be:

- A Field Guide to Pulsar Watches
- A Pulsar Watch Field Guide
- A Pulsar Watch Index
- PTB Pulsar Reference List
- Pulsar Watch Reference List
- something else...

Regardless of what I decide on, you can view the page here:

Happy New Year!
January 5, 2024
Welcome to 2024 and a very happy New Year to all of you! The coming of a new year is often accompanied by thoughts and plans for the days ahead. Call it "setting goals" or "New Year's resolutions," but whatever you call it, it is quite common to get these decided on, planned out and underway early in the year. I am no exception to the stereotype, and have a lot of ideas and plans for this site and where I would like to take it over the next 12 months.

Let's look at what will probably be the biggest addition to this site in 2024. As discussed in the previous post, there seems to be confusion regarding the identification of Pulsar watches, especially ones that no longer retain their original tags or packaging. To date, I have not come across a definitive reference list of Pulsar watches anywhere on the Web. This being the case, I will be seeking to rectify this situation by creating and growing an online identification list, beginning with references, series, calibres and case numbers. As this grows, it should prove to be a helpful resource for Pulsar enthusiasts. More to come on this in the days ahead, so stay tuned!

Another example of my ideas for this site regards the look and theme. I initially chose a couple of 90's-inspired design elements, such as period-correct graphics and the "Under Construction" gif in my first post. This was, I feel, appropriate to start out, just like Pulsar did in the late 90's. They, however, did not stay in the 90's with their website design, but changed and updated as time went on. While the blog format for the Pulsar Time Blog will remain, I will be polishing the look of the site. Who knows? I might make it all the way to the design styles of the early 2000's!

As always, thank you for your interest in Pulsar watches and this site. If you have any stories, pictures or information regarding Pulsar watches, please drop me a line at gw2k-guy@yahoo.com. The watches themselves are interesting, but the people and stories behind them even more so!
